“Which set can form the word rhododendron?”

Achievements Earned In:

- Final Fantasy XV Pocket Edition
- Project Starship
- Null Drifter
- Mensa Academy

Still making an effort to get at least one achievement in Final Fantasy XV Pocket Edition every day, though I’m reaching the end of the game so some of the game-long cumulative achievements are also popping. I’m surprised the Hidden Cactaurs and Treasure Hunts achievements popped, since I’m only in Chapter 8 of 10, but I guess there won’t be much in the way of cities or towns in the final chapters? I’d assume everything is gonna kick off, narrative-wise. Oh, I also went back to Chapter 5 and grabbed the final achievement I needed there, too… where the necessary boss fight glitched out on me four times! Getting pretty close to wrapping this up, which, like I said last week, is pretty bittersweet.

Just hangin’ out.

Ugh. So, looks like the “babygamer”-enabling eastasiasoft decided to add yet ANOTHER stupid, pointless, content-less update for Project Starship. Yes, I know it only takes a few minutes to mop up the completion again, but it’s absolutely the principle of the matter. These are clearly to just pump up sales and take advantage of those addicted to collecting Gamerscore. An entire 1000g and five achievements for simply killing an additional 150 enemies and getting damaged 16 more times. I can’t express how much I regret adding the games from their Shmup Bundle to one of my easy game weeks. Yuck. I will never support this developer again.

Of course, eastasiasoft didn’t stop there and also added an update to Null Drifter, which is probably the most fun of the three games in the bundle. Doesn’t mean I was happy to have to simply kill another 250 enemies for the five new achievements. I’m assuming the third and final game of the trio, Red Death, will get an update shortly. Blah.

My mental state still isn’t exactly in “gaming hardcore” mode yet, so I didn’t wanna start something cool or fun right now, but the depression also wants me to sleep constantly and I don’t wanna do that. To keep myself busy, I figured I’d take my sweet time working on Mensa Academy every night after getting my achievement for the day. Back when I was seriously hunting, I never thought I’d finally sit down and work on this because…it’s pretty tedious letting a question load, screenshotting it, and then solving. I mostly worked on Coach mode, where there are seven minigames for each of three disciplines, and then three minigames for each of the remaining two. You have to get a perfect score to earn a medal. Man, this game has a very tight timer when it comes to solving the puzzles, so I’m not sure how anyone that isn’t a genius could do so without pausing the game and solving first. It was boring, but I managed it. It took a lot of various resources around the internet to solve some of the puzzles, especially the Numeracy ones, but it all obviously worked as I unlocked the Silver medal and Gold medal achievements on Thursday. I’m glad I was able to figure out the Number Relations puzzles, because I definitely couldn’t wrap my mind around them last time. With that knocked out I jumped into Test mode right after and easily scored a 170 using the same resources, which is ten more points than I needed for the hardest Test achievement. This leaves Play mode left, which is longer than Coach but easier overall, so maybe I’ll actually be done with this soon.
